The village lies in Kobeřice Hlucinske hills about 15 km northeast from Opava. Northwestern part of the village is partly the border with Poland. In the context of education in the village primary school and two kindergartens. Regularly open to municipal and parish library. Medical services provided by seven specialists. In the village are the setting up of four pubs. Concentration in large cities, Opava and Ostrava, is secured by a regular bus service as passenger rail services in the community is not.
